My Signature Masterclass:

The Why, What and How of Emotionally Based School Avoidance

Fast being billed as the “EBSA Expert”, this workshop draws directly from my hands-on experiences working with school avoidance and extreme school related anxiety.

In this powerful, practical and informative session we’ll work together to:

  • Unpack the root causes of Emotionally Based School Avoidance

  • Explore what actually helps (whilst identifying what doesn’t)

  • And I’ll share a whole host of simple, evidence-based strategies you can use instantly after attending.

You’ll leave with fresh insight, renewed confidence and tools that genuinely work (and you’ll feel excited and confident to use).

Therapeutic Tools for Frazzled Teachers

In this practical, engaging and hands-on session I will introduce you to a range of evidence-based therapeutic tools drawn from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).

With a focus on simplicity and real-world application, we’ll explore how these approaches can be easily woven into everyday classroom interactions to support students’ emotional wellbeing, build resilience, and create a more compassionate learning environment.

On attending this session teachers and support staff will gain:

  • A toolkit of practical therapeutic techniques that can be used in everyday interactions to support young people.

  • The confidence to respond quickly and effectively when a young person shares something difficult or shows signs of mental distress.

  • Simple and accessible strategies for fostering resilience, emotional regulation and self-compassion in students of all ages (primary and secondary).

  • Skills to help young people set achievable life goals and take steps towards positive change, even when life feels tough.

  • Tools to support psychological flexibility, helping students better manage and respond to difficult thoughts and feelings without becoming overwhelmed.

  • Simple solution focused communication techniques that strengthen connection and support healthy behaviours.

And the best part… This workshop really is a double win as not only can you use everything you learn to dramatically support the young people you work with, but the tools and techniques can also be instantly lifted to support you and your colleagues to stay happy, healthy and well in an endlessly challenging role.

Solution Focused Skills for Stronger Staff Teams

Practical tools to strengthen communication, resolve tensions, and build a more connected and compassionate school culture.

In the fast-paced world of education, staff teams can easily become overwhelmed, misaligned, or stuck in unhelpful, problem-focused patterns of communication. This workshop introduces a practical, solution-focused approach to navigating difficult conversations, improving team dynamics, and reducing conflict before it escalates.

  • Through accessible techniques drawn from therapeutic practice, you’ll learn:

  • How to have difficult conversations with compassion and curiosity

  • How to immediately shift focus from problems to possibilities

  • Ask questions that unlock progress, resolution and bring about positive change

  • Communicate with clarity, empathy and insight.

Leave with tools you can use straight away to create stronger, more supportive staff relationships ongoing.

Beyond the Label: Understanding and Supporting Neurodivergent Young Minds

Understanding and supporting neurodivergent young people with empathy, flexibility, and confidence.

Every neurodivergent young person is unique - but all too often one-size-fits-all, ill-informed approaches leave them (and their parents) feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or unsupported.

This workshop offers a compassionate, practical introduction to working more effectively with neurodivergent children and teens - whether they’re diagnosed, self-identified or simply struggling to survive, thrive and engage in a neurotypical world.

Informed by my years as a Neurodiversity Coach, Consultant Children’s Therapist and Paediatric OT, this informative and interactive session you’ll learn:

  • What exactly neurodivergence is

  • How to talk about key neurodivergent conditions (ADHD, autism, dyslexia and dyspraxia) with confidence and conviction, in line with current best practice

  • How to recognise common traits and needs as well as identifying their super strengths

  • Adapt your communication and environment in line with a supportive sensory approach

  • And respond with therapeutic tools that foster trust, safety, and genuine connection.

Designed for busy professionals who want to be at their best in an ever changing world, this session will leave you feeling more confident, informed, and ready to meet neurodivergent young people exactly where they are.
