About

Hi, I’m Cat,

I've spent the last 18 years helping smart, sensitive children and young people (like yours) build resilience, overcome obstacles and anxiety and find meaning, motivation and happiness in a challenging world. And I care so much about the kids I work with because, well, you see I was that child – the one who didn’t know how to fit in but didn’t dare to stand out; the one who was too scared to go to school, but too confused to ask for help; the one who dreamed that life could be better, but just didn’t know how to make it happen.

As a result, I truly believe that every child has what it takes to stand tall, take up space and lead a rich and meaningful life…sometimes we just need a little bit of help getting there.

I know your child is unique!

That's why I approach things on a personalised basis.

As well as several certifications in adolescent therapy and a professional registration in Occupational Therapy (BSc) I also bring a wide and rich toolkit to help your child - based on a variety of experience.

This includes two degrees, a long history of working within schools, mental health crisis, assessing children with ADHD and autism, working as a senior university lecturer, fitness and yoga training and creating a therapeutic boxing service for kids who don't engage with traditional therapy - plus 5 years managing a leading children and young peoples’ mental health charity.

As a result, I will never ever use a one-size-fits-all approach and believe that the best way to build happiness is to encourage children to ask questions, explore the things that make them shine and embrace life for all its ups and downs.

(That's one reason why kids tend to feel comfortable talking to me even if they've become withdrawn).

So if your child is feeling stuck, slightly off-kilter or has simply lost their sparkle, then welcome: you’re in the right place and I’m ready when you are.

I know your child’s wellbeing is the most important thing to you. So to help you see if you’re in the right place the best next step is to click below to send me an email with any questions (or go ahead and book a chat!)
